The Infant Feeding Reality:

The Why of Combo Feeding

Previously Recorded

Description: Combination feeding is increasingly common, yet many healthcare professionals receive limited training on how to support families who use both breast milk and formula. In this second session of our four-part Combo Feeding Curriculum, we'll explore why families choose—or transition to—combination feeding and what the evidence says about outcomes.

Participants will examine the differences between intentional combination feeding and unplanned supplementation, the impact of supplementation timing on milk production, and the medical, personal, and workplace factors that shape feeding decisions. Attendees will leave with practical, evidence-based insights to provide individualized, family-centered support.
