Description: This educational session explores the critical role of infant nutrition in supporting growth and development during early life. Attendees will gain a foundational understanding of how infant formula is regulated in the United States, including the Infant Formula Act and related safety and quality standards. The program will also review the key components of infant formula and how they are designed to meet infants’ nutritional needs. In addition, participants will learn about emerging bioactive ingredients and their potential role in infant health, as well as how the recent infant formula shortage has impacted families, healthcare providers, and the broader infant nutrition industry.
